As a former member of the Armed Services Committee, I've spent a lot of time talking to military leaders in San Diego about their challenges and they've consistently said continuing resolutions cripple our readiness.
We also need to provide real certainty to Dreamers. The President, Speaker Ryan, and now Senate Majority Leader McConnell have said they want to find a path forward for Dreamers and there are several bipartisan bills in both the House and the Senate that deserve a vote.
Our work is far from over and I hope we can get to work on long-term solutions to our nation's challenges.
