The #FireandFury fallout is interesting, but gossip is not a substitute for a real investigation into political wrongdoing. We need to let Robert Mueller do his job. #FollowtheFacts

A registered Republican, Mueller was appointed by George Bush to lead the FBI a week before the 9/11 attacks, and confirmed by the Senate 98-0. Reappointed by Barack Obama in 2011 and approved 100-0.

Mueller has been described by his peers as “America’s straightest arrow,” “a man of utmost integrity,” and “someone we all trust.”

There is no evidence that the political beliefs of anyone involved in the investigation has affected the FBI’s work. That includes Director Wray, and Peter Strzok, who was actually taken off the case after his text messages.
