Have you considered that maybe, just maybe, Tillerson’s ties to Putin should’ve raised a bigger red flag? This weakens us substantially and opens the door for Russia and China to lead where we create voids.

Professional diplomacy is a kind of check on executive power within the same branch of gov't. Read about Nixon's and Kissinger's wars with Rogers before he was shoved out. Guessing that's what is up here.

In this case, Tillerson might be doing the WH's direct bidding (in contrast to recent news reports). Whatever the reason, it's irresponsible and, I would argue, a violation of our values.
