The Mid-Coast Trolley is an example of a New Starts project currently under construction in San Diego. Under our bill, similar projects would have to determine how and where housing units could be built near new transit stops.

Today, we announced our bill, the Build More Housing Near Transit Act, which would require applicants to the FTA's New Starts program—which funds transit projects like commuter rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit—to include housing feasibility assessments in their proposal.pic.twitter.com/UHuh53rI95
