It will give loved ones a better understanding of the rigors, challenges and hardships the service member has faced, and it will make them aware of tools available to them, so they can better support their servicemember.

The idea was inspired by Coronado's Howard and Jean Somers, whose son, Daniel, tragically died by suicide after two tours in Iraq, post traumatic brain injury, and PTS. Since then the Somers have been tireless advocates for improving servicemembers’ transition from the DOD to VA.
