National disasters are increasing in frequency and cost, but the federal government doesn't have an estimate of how much we spend. Research shows every dollar invested in preparedness and resiliency saves us four dollars in restoration costs. The DISASTER Act will help the federal government make smarter budgeting decisions and ensure we use taxpayer dollars responsibly.
