Our bill would encourage more employers to offer repayment assistance as a tax-exempt benefit up to $5,250 a year—similar to tax exemptions for tuition assistance programs. Employees would be able to pay down their debt faster.

Many employers already offer this benefit, but we can help encourage more companies to offer this benefit across the country. That would move us closer to solving the student debt crisis. It's time Congress does our part.

Where does this bill stand and how can we drive support and awareness?

It's not a good bill. It's another trickle down scam that benefits corporations instead of people struggling with student loan debt. If they want to help people with student loan debt they should do it directly via loan forgiveness instead of another corporate tax cut.

Why are you helping
@RodneyDavis? He's such a partisan extremist that he won't even meet with constituents that disagree with him. Democrats need to smarten up & quit helping re-elect fake "bipartisans" like Rodney.#IL13isWatching#IL13http://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/2018-05-02/davis-no-need-meet-with-politically-opposed-groups.html … -
This is a terrible bill that will increase economic inequality & the bill does not deserve Democratic support. Businesses do not need more tax cuts. If you want to help students with their student loan debt, then help students directly instead of giving businesses tax cuts.
