If this is the best argument for not building the wall then I am even more convinced the resistance is just about anti Trump agenda (MAGA) and trying to get the illegal vote.

You glossed over 3 facts: 1) SD’s entry port works so well b/c the high fence that funnels people to those locations; 2) requesting a barrier in certain spots does not preclude ALSO using tech; 3) you need a plan the exec branch can sign as co-equal branch so compromise!

San Diego's solution to illegal immigration and drug smuggling was the wall as it greatly decreased criminal crossings. I'm all for upgrading Ports of Entry, but sections of the wall do need to be replaced and new sections built. Why not get immigration reform with the wall?
