When disaster strikes, we need to help one another. That's what we do as Americans. We must ensure that our disaster response teams are better prepared to help in a crisis. These disasters are only getting worse and becoming more frequent.

We also need to slow the rate of climate change, which is exacerbating natural disasters. If we don't, it will only cost us more lives and money.
