That feels a big misread of what we mean by #AbolishICE - it's not just the policies, it's the people that went along with them and amplified them with abuse that need to go. Organizational trust has been permanently lost by their repeated lawless abuse. We should start fresh.

I'm no immigration expert, but I do get how org culture, history and structure can cause abuse & failure or go the other way towards ethics & success. We reset when we formed ICE in post 9/11 fear so it's structured around fear and xenophobia. We can
