It overturns decades of precedent that ensured fair pay and safe work spaces, and creates uncertainty in the more than 20 states that have been handling fee agreements on their own. This is a blow to working families. We will keep fighting to strengthen protections.

It seems 28 other states plus the federal gov’t have public sector unions without agency fees so not an imperative. Plus, nothing in Janus says members cannot pay dues so if they are getting the value then they will pay. Or is that precisely the issue — that they don’t want to?
