  1. The needs of the workforce are changing & it is crucial that workers can gain the skills and training necessary to succeed. I voted for legislation that will invest in the nation's workforce development system, expand economic opportunity, and increase access to good paying jobs.

  5. As we approach wildfire season it is imperative that our firefighting workforce is adequately paid for their work. The ability to respond safely, quickly, & effectively to wildfires is critical to the safety of Oregonians & pay is essential to staffing. Proud to join this effort!

  7. Federal firefighters and EMS personnel make significant sacrifices and take incredible risks in service to their communities. I voted to ensure that these brave first responders have access to the same workers compensation and health benefits as other professional firefighters.

    Today I met with and the Willamette Falls Locks Authority to celebrate the $6.2 million I secured to fund their locks restoration project. The locks have been shut down since 2011 and with this funding we are one step closer to reconnecting the Willamette River!
