So this is your response? Banal thoughts and prayers followed by attacking the FBI. Earlier today I called your office and asked you to sponsor sensible gun control and to pay back your NRA contributions, and this is how you respond. I will now work as hard as I can to unseat you

Enhance public safety?! John, you won’t do anything but have a hearing on the FBI. You don’t have the courage to stand up and make the changes that this nations needs. Ban Weapons of war. Coward.

Given your background in law enforcement, this is - at best - a slap in the face of how you KNOW agency protocol works. Worse, you act like this is the first school shooting, instead of the Nth one in a continuous series.

I am deeply saddened by Rep. John Rutherford’s failure to act to prevent mass shootings in our schools and communities. I trust he will correct Congress’ fatal inaction and work to enact common sense gun control legislation & fund public health research on gun violence.

The FBI mistake is not the real problem. You should know that!!

We're sacrificing children to the NRA god. Stop passing the buck, Rutherford! YOU take action. The second amendment has been misinterpreted and you fully know it.
