More good news for @JAXPORT! Glad to see $93 million for the JAXPORT deep dredge project included in @realDonaldTrump's FY 2021 budget request. @SJRiverkeeper has said with regard to the deep dredge that 1 the impacts to the river have been significantly underestimated 2 the economic and environmental risks have been ignored or downplayed 3 the projected economic benefits have been dramatically overstated -
4 the proposed mitigation is inadequate, doing nothing to offset damage to the river 5 the Army Corps of Engineers analysis is incomplete, and 6 the project hasnt been thoroughly evaluated and publicly vetted.
