Can you please tell us how you voted on the common sense background check laws that 90% of America support? Passed in the House yet they sit on @senatemajldr desk which he refuses to bring to a vote. Supporting these/insisting on a Senate vote would be a great start toward unity.

Now, PLEASE hold the president to his words. Call him out when he uses toxic rhetoric that divides and sows hatred. He has made a political career out of doing just that.

Not interested in “coming together” with white supremacists, white nationalists, or Nazis. Why don’t you specifically denounce those people (A: because trump wants those votes, that’s why). Shame.

He must take this forward to his everyday behavior, dialogue, campaign-rally banter, and tweets. Will he? Please help hold him responsible for that, John. We can't get there if he and others don't tone down the violent, damaging rhetoric towards Mexicans and all immigrants.

And you need to get to work doing what you morally know to be the right thing and getting these weapons of war off the street. You led a sheriff's office that was daily endangered by these weapons. Its time to get on the bandwagon of whats RIGHT.

Be real. He didn't write that speech, doesn't agree with it, and looks like he was threatened to give it. The rest of his HATESPEAK is clear. And most of us doubt anything will be done unless the NRA approves it. Isn't it time to look in the mirror and see him for what he is?
