Real wages rose at the top of the distribution, whereas wages stagnated or fell at the middle and bottom. Real (inflation adjusted) wages at the 90th percentile increased over 1979 to 2019. I haven’t seen any GOP policy proposals to solve this problem. https://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R45090.pdf …

From the OPINION article “one reason may be that employers are hiring millions of low-wage young people as older hirer-wage employees retire”. And NOWHERE does it state that upper management salary increases jack up the percentages. Those CEO’s are “wage-earners” too!

So your usual cherry-picking and ignoring the real situation. So let’s do some quick math - if we take your salary of $174,000 and the salary of a deputy $48,000, can we say that law enforcement personnel average $111,000? Technically true, horribly wrong.
