From what I hear repunks had a chance to determine the recess, gave a 5ish time frame, and did NOT follow through. REPUBLICANS are directly responsible for what happened.

The party that cynically cried about "secret basement hearings" absolutely would not also cynically cry about "midnight votes" after deliberately stretching out the amendment process.
