If you're not in leadership and not at the negotiating table than how can you tell one party - your party - to deal while ignoring the games the other side is playing? A $1200 check will barely help people through next month. Then what? Start all over again with deal-making?

If they don’t pass something before the election it’ll be disastrous, that’s what most economists are saying. If Trump loses he will go lame duck and won’t pass anything and we’ll have to wait till February. Nearly 20 million people will face eviction.
