If we had common-sense gun control, the sort of laws you oppose, tragedies like this would be less likely. These folks shouldn’t be dead.
My heart and many across Virginia broke when we heard of the tragedy that occurred in Virginia Beach today. I pray for the victims, their families, and all affected. I thank the first responders, emergency personnel, and law enforcement for their bravery and commitment to duty.

Pass common sense gun control. We make folks get a driver's license because we need to make sure they are competent with a device that could kill someone if misused. We enforce seat belt laws, erect speed limit and stop signs, and put up guard rails. Why not do the same for guns?
