Congressman Denver Riggleman Retweeted Steve Scalise

My Republican colleagues and I voted for a bill that would have paid federal workers during the #GovernmentShutdown. Why didn't it pass? Dems voted no. The hypocrisy continues: stop the political games, negotiate, pass real immigration reform, and reopen the government.https://twitter.com/SteveScalise/status/1088183455857500174 …

🚨 215 Democrats just voted to NOT PAY federal workers as we continue negotiating to secure our border & open the government. Every Republican voted YES. Democrats are so committed to their open-border agenda that they've TWICE voted to deprive federal workers of their paychecks. https://twitter.com/RepCloakroom/status/1088168737017131009 …

Please be honest. What else was in the bill? I’ll bet large sums of money that you’re leaving out significant details

Sir: less Trumpian rhetoric please. Less “us” (Republicans = good) versus “them” (Democrat’s are bad). Negotiations can happen while the government is open. Your constituents deserve better.

Its time that democrats step up and DO their job or resign! Maybe they should reimburse American taxpayers all their ridiculous salaries back to 1-20-17 to pay all the furlough workers, since they are incapable of negotiating or incapable of securing our Country!

Because you need to get with your GOP colleagues and #EndTheTrumpShutdown. There’s several House bills the Senate can vote for to open the government now. And just so we're clear...GOP held both houses for two years during So called “border crisis" and did not fund #WallOfHate.

Denver ... my man ... Riggleman. That bill would have definitely helped those struggling without pay. I commend you wholeheartedly for voting in favor of it. You sir are one of the few fine representatives in Congress today. Donating your own pay as well. Impressive. Keep it up.

Was it a clean bill? Are you telling us the full story here, or possibly playing your own "political games" with us? We elected you to be better, sir. Don't be like Scalise, McConnell, Trump...
