Check out my comments on this weekend's Presidential address. This is a step in the right direction for real immigration reform. I hope my colleagues will take this deal and re-open the government.pic.twitter.com/gIsRA9faf4

The fact you think this is a good deal speaks volumes about your policies and character. This is the president holding DACA recipients hostage. HE took away the protections and is offering to temporarily return them in exchange for a very permanent wall. No deal.

Exactly. Also DACA recipients currently have temporary protection from the court.

Fight to open the government first. Then you can work on immigration reform. He is holding workers hostage. Who are you working for?

I respect that @RepRiggleman has learned from mistakes of past negotiations where GOP has acted in good faith only to see promises of bipartisanship solutions dashed. No, @POTUS is right to stand his ground, requiring bipartisan work now to get a deal struck before we reopen.

Very disappointing. I am in favor of reform but not when using the lives of honest, decent constituents as pawns in a political game. I know you’re better than this.

Skimmed through the GOP's funding/wall/temp DACA & TPS bill, and this will (and should) get zero votes from Democrats. It makes it so Central American minors are ineligible for asylum if they don't apply at a processing center (to be established) in Central America. pic.twitter.com/5sPuTXw5Hv

Worthless press release. Is your staff paid for this? They aren’t earning their salary and should donate it also.

Sorry, I don’t see the reform in the president’s offer. How about offering something of substance that shows compassion for all involved? Better yet, how about opening the government first? #OpenTheGovernment

Your colleagues have passed bills to open the government. It’s the president who is keeping it shut down.
