I have a student today who has two parents who aren’t getting paid. He is one of four kids his parents are sending to college. My student had to get a credit card to pay for textbooks; his parents couldn’t afford them. You and your party are punishing everyone. End this.
I voted for a bill today that guarantees government employees will see their full paychecks when the shutdown ends. I am working to find a bipartisan immigration solution to end the shutdown, but we shouldn't punish government employees because a deal hasn't been reached.

He ran on cutting regulations. I’m sure he doesn’t mind that regulatory agencies are closed, he probably sees it as a bonus. Republicans don’t care if people get hurt as long as businesses make more money.

No one protected or gave back pay to the millions of us that saw pay cuts multiple unpaid furloughs, and jobs going to India during the previous 2 administrations. Why are fed workers given pay for not working? Real jobs don't.
