    This is, hands down, one of the dumbest foreign policy ideas Trump has pushed during his time in office, and represents a complete misunderstanding of the benefits the US derives from overseas bases.

    Scoop: Trump wants to make other countries pick up the bill for having US troops in their region, plus pay extra 50% for the privilege. Admin is drawing up demands that Germany, Japan and eventually others cover full price.
