@RepRickAllen but I would like to see you and others support legislation to remove Congress from the 'essential personnel' category in the event of a shutdown. None of you should be paid, and it shouldn't be optional -
Unfortunately the Congress and the President's salaries are structured and controlled by the Constitution and cannot be stopped. However every last ones of those multi millionaires can certainly donate their salaries during trumps shutdown. They wouldn't even miss the money.
