The intel out there is that we have large groups headed to the border in different areas. And the argument that it would kill anyone attempting to cross is kind of the point. We are also handling a mexico cartel kingpin for trial right now. Maybe it is needed ?

You want to kill people? Those who risk crossing the desert often die. The southwest desert is an efficient barrier. Tech woukd be more efficient and cheaper. Plus better ports of entry and border patrol. A new immigration processing protocol would be a great start.
