No one who works full-time, year-round should live in poverty. By putting money in the pockets of hardworking Americans, the #RaiseTheWage Act is good for workers, good for businesses, good for the economy, and I'm proud to cosponsor it.pic.twitter.com/bnjnQnVK0e

🙄People have the right to negotiate their own compensation and refuse any offer they don't want. Heavy-handed gov't does not help, and will only increase # of unemployed welfare-dependents with this, if it passes.

Thank you for supporting workers by co-sponsoring this bill. Raising the wage is crucial to lifting millions of workers out of poverty, and we look forward to working with you to make sure it happens! Onward to $15!

Raising the minimum wage is not the answer. This tactic has been refuted over and over again. Unlike politicians we don’t get to vote on our compensation.https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikepatton/2014/11/26/the-facts-on-the-minimum-wage-increase/#4f68093f33a1 …

Artificially raising wages only fuels inflation. Helps the tax man in higher income and sales taxes. Prices other workers out of the job market. Ill considered. Use your head and not just your heart.

MW is not meant to live off of or to make a full career out of. Back in 2016, I worked 20 hours a week at MW and didn't have enough to cover my portion of the rent. If you want a liveable wage, go to a trade school and get into a trade doing something, not working at McD's.

I mean yeah but if we can't afford rent how are we gonna afford to go to trade school, a lot of us can't get loans, and even then if we work (for example, my hours) of 50 hrs a week, how can we go to school and go to work? That's insane and not a fix for everyone.
