This is great news. I have long pushed for the USPS delivery fleet to be fully electrified. As the largest fleet of vehicles in the federal government, this is a huge victory for both long-term operational and climate goals.

SCOOP: USPS will electrify delivery trucks by 2026 in climate win for Biden USPS had recently pledged to go 40% EV. This new purchase plan now gets it to 75% by 2026, and all electric afterward. Huge, huge news for USPS and Biden climate agenda. washingtonpost.com/business/2022/

Today the Senate will vote on a resolution to curtail further U.S. support for the war in Yemen. The war has been a total national security disaster for America, and it's time to send the strongest signals to Saudi Arabia and UAE that this war must end.

Today is my final hearing as Chair. It’s been an honor to help ensure the Coast Guard can carry out its missions in the Arctic region and around the world. I am grateful for my time with the gavel fighting to invest in our nation’s infrastructure.

I applaud this move by my colleague to bring our bipartisan Yemen War Powers Resolution to the Senate floor for a vote. It's Congress’s duty to codify 's pledge to end U.S. support for Saudi Arabia-led offensive military operations in Yemen, once and for all.

I proudly voted in the House last week to avert a rail shutdown, ensure higher pay for workers, and provide 7 days of paid sick leave. It’s beyond time for Congress to fight against corporate greed and protect working people and their families.

Freight railroads failed to reach an agreement with workers or provide the quality of life they deserve—despite record profits. Now we must act. Today, Congress votes to prevent a rail shutdown—which would hurt millions of Americans—and provide paid sick leave to workers.

Today, passed the “FIRE Act.”  Since 2012, there have been an average of 61,289 wildfires each year. Oregonians are too familiar with their devastating impacts. This critical piece of legislation will help streamline necessary aid before and after a fire.

One year later, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is improving lives by creating good-paying jobs, improving mobility, and addressing pollution in transportation to fight climate change. This law is ushering in an #InfrastructureDecade that will build the future we deserve.

I’m pleased Pres. Biden supports a windfall profit tax on Big Oil’s excessive corporate profits. My legislation, the Stop Gas Price Gouging Tax and Rebate Act, would impose a tax & return the revenue to consumers.

Oil barons feather their own nest off the backs of everyday Americans - the six largest oil companies raked in over $70 billion in profits during the second quarter this year alone, and in the first half of this year spent a whopping $20 billion on stock buybacks.

Thank you ! Big Oil’s corporate greed is keeping our gas prices artificially high, causing high prices elsewhere too. I’ve introduced a Windfall Profits Tax bill (HR 7099) to tax Big Oil’s excessive profits and provide the $$ as a rebate to American consumers.

Few laws have done more for our public health and the environment than the Clean Water Act. I am proud to have led a resolution officially commemorating this bedrock environmental law and celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act.

I'm proud to work with on this critical issue. As the author of the House companion bill, one of my highest priorities is protecting Social Security, which millions of Americans rely on. It's long overdue for the wealthy elite to pay their fair share into the program.

A daily reminder that if @SenSanders Social Security Expansion Act had been enacted last year, Elon Musk would have paid $2.9 billion more in taxes, seniors would have received $2,400 more in benefits and Social Security would be solvent for more than 75 years.

With today’s new rule from the FAA, flight attendants will finally have the rest they need and deserve. While long-overdue, I applaud the flight attendants who fought for these requirements, which will make our skies safer for all.

In a huge win for the health and safety of flight attendants and those who depend on them while flying, the FAA announced its final rule on flight attendant duty and rest time. Read Chair @RepPeterDeFazio’s statement below.

My bill will close the gap between our safety standards and those of foreign repair stations. By ensuring a uniform standard of safety, no matter where the aircraft is repaired and maintained, we will make our skies safer for all.
