It is important to invest in higher education institutions that serve Indian Country and that’s why I supported the FUTURE Act yesterday. The FUTURE Act reauthorizes funding programs for minority-serving higher education institutions, including many in Indian Country.
The College of Muscogee Nation in Okmulgee, the only tribal college in the state, and other institutions in my district rely on this funding. Passing this legislation will directly benefit them and help them better serve Native students.
