When I was sworn in to the U.S. House of Representatives, I took an oath to uphold the Constitution and that includes the 2nd Amendment. Red flag laws would give one judge the ability to take away someone’s Constitutional right without due process.
If Americans want to change the Constitution, there is a process to amend it. But I cannot support creating any laws that infringe on our Constitutional rights.
Assault style weapons used to be illegal with our same Constitution and our same 2nd Amendment. We can keep the 2nd Amendment but we need to get rid of those type of guns and high capacity magazines/clips.
There you go—let’s get everyone riled up about this. Let’s inflame the situation. Your rhetoric is part of the problem. What about upholding the rest of the Constitution, per your oath?

How many times has that occurred? (Amending the constitution by US citizens, I mean. Directly & not by the funkies in US house & senate.) What's so special about your US constitution?
How about you reject campaign money that comes from a lobby group that profits from sales of guns...? Just a thought... but it's okay. The NRA is almost bankrupt.
