Did you know: Since Republicans allowed the #assaultweapons ban to lapse in 2004, the number of mass shootings has increased 183% and the number of deaths in such attacks rose 239%.

Why? Did states close their borders and we all missed it?

See: Australia's gun deaths are less than 1/5th of the level they were before the Port Arthur ban and still declining.

Just ask all of the mothers of autistic children who gave their autistic son a sore weapons… One of them is still alive three actually if you count Jim and Kimberly Sneed… Oh but we don't really want answers yet, because that would shut down all the big social protest hoo ha

The point is you can buy these types of weapons legally in other states, then simply drive anywhere you want. It shouldn't be that hard to understand. And stop with the drug use comparisons. False equivalencies are a sign of mental laziness.

Heroine and guns are not the same thing and they're not regulated the same way, either. Again, false equivalencies.

Regrettably this only goes to 2012 but I can get the numbers for the next 3 years. My source is the CDC, or you know...the government...pic.twitter.com/IZNzX3jofU

The years you are comparing are disingenuous. Australia's ban did not occur at the same time as America's. There was a 37% drop on homicides in America during the ban, but it is rising again, according to CDC numbers. (The chart only runs to 2011 unfortunately.)pic.twitter.com/BWafNGDCFh

Considering your unlabelled chart from Wikipedia differs greatly from the numbers I have from the DOJ... I'll wait for something a bit more verified...pic.twitter.com/hySzBxDvzs

Hahaha. I LOVE how your chart includes the last two years of the assault rifle ban and just includes those in the percentage, even though it's pretty clear they rose slightly after the ban ended, then dipped, then rose again but...oh the graph cuts that off. Darn.
