I borrowed $60k. I’ve paid back about $42k. I now owe $80k. I’m a Chicago public school teacher. Some of my payments don’t qualify for public service loan forgiveness. Not sure I’ll get it at all.
Congress gave the Education Department hundreds of millions of dollars to provide relief to student loan borrowers.
