Thank you to my colleagues for joining me by standing in solidarity with the LGBT community tonight and voting against Republican provisions that would have allowed for anti-LGBT discrimination in housing and emergency shelters.
I'm proud of my work with @AppropsDems to ensure that the FY20 THUD bill includes language to prevent @SecretaryCarson from rolling back housing protections for LGBT Americans. Secretary Carson may have failed the LGBT community but @HouseDemocrats won't sit back and watch.
Earlier this year, I questioned @SecretaryCarson about his department's failure to protect LGBT youth.
