As someone from Illinois, you should know that if we wanna get rid of coal, we will need to keep our #nuclear energy workhorses running and build more. RE has its place, but only nuclear provides squeaky-clean, ultra-reliable energy. We need to lead with it.
The lowering cost of renewable energy sources means that we just hit a record low in coal consumption. That's good news!
