For too long, the CDC was banned from researching gun violence. That changed this week. For the first time in over 20 years, the House Appropriations FY 2020 bill includes $50 million to study gun violence.

Sounds great but do we really need to spend $50 million to find out that Americans being gunned down at school, work, worship, nightclubs, banks, bodegas, local bar, concerts, hair salons and communities is a massive problem and find out what other countries are doing?

So we can announce that the House intends to appropriate $50 million dollars of tax payer money to research "gun violence"... All the while they don't tell you how they intend to approach the issue? 😑😑😑😑

They won't be the ones approaching the issue so they can't tell you that. The money will go to scientists who propose the best research - as determined by qualified scientists who review the proposals and score them. This is a very good thing.
