Three years ago, HUD eliminated non-discrimination guidance for LGBTQ individuals seeking shelter housing. Now, after years of delay and missed deadlines, Secretary Carson is threatening to publish guidance that would actively allow discrimination.

Last summer, Secretary Carson came to Chicago to meet with me and LGBTQ housing advocates to discuss the importance of this guidance. He knows who this decision hurts. He doesn't seem to care.
