Nearly three years after Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, #Juneteenth
marks the total emancipation of slaves throughout the Confederacy. Slavery was a dark stain on our nation’s history & while we commemorate this day, let us not lose sight of its importance.
