Actually, the states & private sector should (& do) help first. We aren't in a nanny government. NY should've taken steps years ago. That said, Congress should certainly be helping PATIENTS & hospitals instead of taking a pay raise and seeking legislation for ballot harvesting!

No, that would be the hospital, not Congress. Hospital escalates to local emergency mangement, they escalate to the County, then the State then FEMA, NOT CONGRESS.

According to Gov Cuomo, they do have the supplies they need. They may not have the comfort of a one month supply but a 3 day availability of supplies. But that doesnt mean they are doing without. Also, transfer patients to other hospitals that have capacity. Triage.
