I’m most interested to determine if this was a planned ISIS or Al Qaeda infiltration or a one-off radicalization. And the Saudis need to determine if their military is being more broadly infiltrated.

These exchange programs are important for: 1) training our allies on the American equipment we sell them so that we can better fight alongside each other and 2) building relationships with the future leaders of our allied militaries.

We should be careful not to overreact and start shutting down these programs but we absolutely have to get to the bottom of what happened here and whether this is a new terrorist tactic.

The definition of terrorism is violent acts to further a political agenda so from what I’ve seen so far, it’s likely. I doubt this was a domestic dispute.
