Whether or not Lorance made a mistake, there were serious concerns about his trial, such as the lack of: - A defense against factually incorrect statements - Presentation of existing exculpatory evidence - Recommendation of a lesser & appropriate sanction
You seem to forget that in America the armed forces are subject to civilian control. This isn’t (quite yet) a dictatorship or banana Republic. Close. But not quite.
