NASA wouldn't put Americans in an unworthy spacecraft. Soyuz has a better safety record than the Space Shuttle and is far less expensive. The SpaceX Crew Dragon will bring down the expense to travel to the ISS further.

*Fortunately,* Drew launched on a Russian rocket because Soyuz is a reliable rocket which has kept the ISS crewed for the last 11 years. Respect where it's due. But by all means, let's launch people from Florida again when the hardware is ready. "GO FEVER" is deadly.
