I am a career leg
and my father was a paratrooper in 101st and 82nd 14 of 20 years of his career always told me you never forget how to jump when I ask him could he still do it. Awesome job Congressman.

Fantastic! Imagine the sky full of parachutes as hundreds are in the air. They also landed at night and were under fire.

Id be scared to do that under normal conditions but those soldiers in 1944 did it at night and under fire. Even non Americans like myself can appreciate and be thankful for their sacrifice and service not only to their country but to the free world as a whole.

My father was a pilot of one of those C47s on D-day. He was 29 years old then, most of the jumpers were probably about 20 y.o.
