(1/2) On Friday, House Democrats voted to violate our Constitution by passing a resolution to allow voting by proxy. All House Republicans, as well as 3 Democrats, voted against this rule change that will fundamentally alter how Congress operates.
(2/2) Under this partisan scheme, as few as 20 Democrats present on the House floor could unilaterally pass legislation. At a time when Congress should be working to move the country forward, Speaker Pelosi is upending 200 years of precedent.
