Waiting 35 days to do what could have been done on day one. The GOP has failed the American people by holding them hostage. Remember this as negotiations proceed. We do not need a wall, and it is not shutting the government down over it.
Democrats have said they are willing to negotiate once the government is open, and we look forward to seeing if they keep their word.
