Moving forward, the Trump Admin must lead a global coalition because the US can’t effectively support HK alone. Pres Trump himself must voice clear support for human rights in HK & strategically use targeted sanctions & economic leverage to support the HK people in their struggle
Companies doing business in Hong Kong will have to reconnoiter, it seems. I'm thinking if this kind of economic arm-twisting has not redirected Iran in all these years, why would the much larger China bend or fade? If enough countries in lock step out-bid Belt & Road, maybe.
