  With all due and sincere respect @RepPressley you've never experienced the "joy" of parenting or even teaching "teenagers" have you? All my kids turned out very well, but when they were 17 they couldn't pour piss out of a boot with directions written on the heel.

  Students are indoctrinated with leftist ideology until they leave the public education system... so I think it is a terribly partisan idea to lower the voting age.

  Voting is for adults. If you want the voting age to be 16, then you should be able to join the military, buy a gun and smoke at 16 too. You should also be tried as an adult in court and be responsible for every other action in your life.
