    Sad to learn of the passing of Richard Overton, whose life peronsified service to our country and local community. I was blessed to know him and will always remember him as the star of the show when we opened the new VA clinic in Austin.

    Today’s service at the National Cathedral was a beautiful celebration and noble tribute to the life of George H. W. Bush. I was honored and humbled to be there today and join our nation in saying farewell to the 41st President of the United States.

    This latest escalation by Russia underscores the importance of maintaining our comprehensive sanctions against Russia, Vladimir Putin, and his top oligarchs. Russia’s blatant and unlawful hostility against Ukraine and its sovereign territory must cease.

    I fully condemn the overtly aggressive & unlawful actions taken by Russia against three Ukrainian ships & their crewmembers. I join in calling on Russia to honor Ukraine’s sovereign territory & demand Russia immediately return Ukraine’s ships and detained citizens.
