my question is why was there a saudi national on a US mil. base to begin with?

They are supposedly our allies. He was a Saudi airman training at the base. I am concerned because we have Turkish Muslim airman training here at Eglin AFB 55 miles from Pensacola. I don't think any of them are truly our allies. I have been worried about the AFB here.
