Due process for criminal investigations is required for criminal investigations. Why are you trying to confuse this with that?

Just a reminder, the reason the impeachment depositions are held in private is that, unlike with Nixon and Clinton, there is no special counsel, and Barr refused to allow the FBI to investigate; thus, Congress must, and probes are in private so witnesses can't coordinate tales.

This is all very true but Rs don’t want the whistleblowers to corroborate each other’s testimony & they already know who they are so who’s really being protected? There is most definitely something more to it & we likely will never have the full story which is the saddest part
