Having assisted my son in the federal student loan process in 2014, the terms of the loan, various payback scenarios, interest rates, the effect of deferrals, was all spelled out in very concise language. Not sure why so many seem to be confused about how loans work.

How about tackling "Excessive College Tuition" instead? Or are Colleges and Universities allowed to charge whatever they want? Pharma doesn't get that protection.

Another thing that hicks the cost of college is the fees students are charged for things like athletics even if the student doesn’t participate. Athletes get benefits while other students pay.

Hi, The colleges took advantage of government subsidies by raising tuition and saddles kids with debt. Then they teach socialism. They have huge endowments , They should be part of the fix

Force colleges to offer loans for 10% of tuition from their own accounts so there's a "buy-in" for them and stop handing out "student loans" than can be spent on other things besides tuition. 25 years ago when I had student loans, they were signed right over to the school.

That's how you fix it. Also work on usary rates that are allowed to crush Americans with horrible interest rates. This also goes for banks and other loans. Even 16pct on credit cards is too much considering prime rates.
