This is just wrong. They need to prosecute people who make these types of threats, period. We are a nation of laws, not men!

Usually, these are reported to the FBI which investigates. Phone calls can be traced and locations investigated. The FBI then coordinates with the local US attorney. There could be dozens of reasons not to prosecute. For example, if the guy was Devin Nunes playing a prank.

Other reasons could be the caller - was taken up in an ICE raid and has been deported. - is a NK diplomat immune from prosecution. - is incapacitated in a care facility and did not pose a threat. - wearing a MAGA hat and had an insanity defense.
